Hi! I’m Niall, and I teach English as a Second Language. I live in Canada now, but I lived and taught English in Thailand for twelve years. In all I have over twenty years of experience teaching ESL. In addition to teaching at universities and high schools in Canada and Asia, I have worked for IDP Education Australia, one of the joint administrators of the IELTS exam.
I mainly do two things:
- I coach for the speaking section of the IELTS.
- I teach Academic Writing, including preparation for the writing section of the IELTS.
In both cases the emphasis is on coaching: I aim to have you produce as much English as possible while eliminating mistakes, developing fluency, and building vocabulary.
